Hyvä integrations for Magento 2
Make extensions work together
We identify missing storefront behaviour and build only the compatibility layer your Magento store actually needs.
Compatibility without assumptions
An installed module is not yet a working Hyvä integration
Magento modules that ship frontend code for Luma or Blank do not automatically work in Hyvä. A reliable integration first maps the required customer journey, events, templates and data. We then use an existing compatibility module or create a contained, maintainable addition.
This applies to payment providers, shipping methods, search, reviews, tracking and custom configurators. We test the complete functional path, not merely whether a block is visible.
01
Where integrations commonly fail
The Magento backend may work correctly while essential storefront interaction is missing.
Buttons or modals do nothing
The module depends on JavaScript components that Hyvä does not load.
Data is not refreshed
Customer sections, GraphQL, AJAX or events do not match the new component.
Payment or shipping blocks
A method requires extra fields, validation or callbacks that have not been integrated.
Updates overwrite custom work
The implementation is too tightly coupled to vendor code to remain maintainable.
02
From module assessment to regression test
We first determine whether a maintained solution already exists. Custom development only makes sense when available coverage is missing or unsuitable.
Compatibility assessment
Compare versions, module features, storefront behaviour and available community solutions.
Frontend implementation
Add required templates, ViewModels and Alpine components in a contained layer.
Checkout integration
Test fields, validation, totals, payment and shipping states across the order journey.
Upgrade path
Record tested vendor and Hyvä versions and identify custom code that needs future maintenance.
03
An integration in four steps
Functional evidence comes before technical assumptions.
-
01
Feature matrix
We document which module capabilities the store actually uses.
-
02
Existing coverage
We evaluate official and community compatibility against the installed versions.
-
03
Targeted custom work
Only missing storefront behaviour is implemented.
-
04
Journey testing
We test success and failure paths, mobile input and relevant configurations.
04A
Suitable for
- Payment and shipping modules
- ERP, PIM and tracking storefront features
- Search, review and merchandising extensions
- Custom modules with customer-facing behaviour
04B
Requires separate scope when
- A module has no accessible code or documentation
- Testing is only permitted in production
- The issue concerns a third-party licence
- A full backend integration is presented as frontend compatibility
Technical questions answered
No. Public trackers and vendors may show available coverage, but each version, configuration and feature set still needs validation.
Yes, when its licence and architecture allow it. We keep changes outside vendor code whenever possible.
We agree available sandbox and test scenarios beforehand. Production transactions are only checked under explicit arrangements.
Official documentation states that Hyvä Checkout can also run on a Luma store. Technical suitability still depends on the individual store.
